Yes, to all the aspects of water that you have painted with your small verse. I believe water gives life. We have all come from water, and need it to live. OK, that is simplistic...however, I knew I needed to live near water to remain sane. Had to move from my beach cocoon, now I am trying to survive with only the views of tree tops.

This is an outstanding tanka poem, Bill. I like the metaphors and the tone in which you convey water. Water is such a powerful thing and can be in so many different ways.

I live in Florida and a lot of people complain about the heat. We have an afternoon thunder shower every day in the afternoon. It cools the temperature briefly, but it keeps my lawn green all year round. Guess you have to take the good with the bad. Water is something we can't live without.

Water sure has a lot to do, doesn't it? Come to think of it, nothing would be alive without it. I'm not an expert on the tanka, but this seems to follow all the rules. Love the picture.

That's packing a lot of syllables into one word. It makes the text print out all uneven. If we like pictures, then the appearance-oh, enough review? excellent.

Having just been on holiday in a land with waterfalls, mountains, lakes half way up a mountain, I have learned more about the beauty of water. I liked your cynical view of the multi purposes of water and agree with it, especially the bit about the idle! Well chosen words to convey your message. Good complimentary picture. Faye

Once again, your poetry amazes. I love your use of "intuitively" which gives the action a feeling of instinctivity linked to an array of results: the existential, justice and nurture. Once source: many effects.

We all know what water can do and by itself will.
