They may have been perceived as human, these beasts that committed this ghastly atrocity. But they are in no way truly human. They are vile monsters, masquerading as man. Clearly without heart, these "men", and I use that term loosely, need to be sodomized by huge Indian men in prison, held down, and slowly strangled by a rather viscous teen girl who's been raped in the past. That would be justice, yet it would also make us less than human if we were to allow it.
One day, their time will come.
Great work, this really get the reader's hackles up!
Best of luck to you in the contest.

Thanks Dean you really spoke my mind but which much better force which i liked, I just cannot believe these monsters are literally getting away with murder, Families are killing their own daughters, because they do not have the money fora dowry or if she refused to marry who they want, Because of the baby girls killed at birth, there are too many males and less females which is a big problem in it self without all the atrocities. Sorry for going on but my blood boils. oh by the way thanks for the review.

I truly agree. The world is going crazy with ludicrous and horrific attacks on defenseless youngsters and some not having a voice of their own to stand up for their rights.

A beautiful and poignant plea for justice to be done for the girls and women in India. It seems we see on the news of reforms being made and then next thing we know, it has happened again. Great entry for the contest, full of truth and heartfelt emotion.

A poem of frustration at the horrific way that women are abused in India. I find it interesting that the countries that show respect for the women flourish. Is that a coincidence? I live in Tanzania and the women are so strong and clever and yet it is hard for them to be heard and given the same chances as men. I share your compassion for these women. judester

Thank you for your great comments, unless men are educated about the value of women, how we are not equal in physical strength, but very necessary and valuable in many ways.

This is a practice from evil, hateful, and cruel men. To devalue female babies is outrageous, to kill them is insane.
These men are "perverted, monsters. All women and girls should be removed from the area, and the men should be forced to stay in that area by themselves. I cannot understand how men can hate and abuse women for sport.

Comment from Erik McGinley
A lot of the time the violence perpetrated against women is seen as only violence against women. This is not always the way it is. Just as often the men are hurt even though the brutalisation is emotional.
At the same time, we allow women to get away, daily, with brutalisation because they are "invulnerable".
Who is invulnerable? Do we think the law applies only to men. Are women so sacrosanct that they can commit any crime?
Is the real question .. are we allowed to mistreat people?

Thank you Erik for you review and your comments, I do urge you to look up all the atrocities and crimes against women in India, this is what my poem is about. I never even mentioned the acid throwing in the women's faces, the cruel behavior of the mother in law of an eight year old daughter law. The honor killings when families kill their own daughters for not doing or marrying who they want her to marry, it goes on and on. I do know that men are abused in the western world. this needs to be listened to also. But that is a different story.
