Good preparation for getting the reader to know what to expect from diving into the work if they run into unfamiliar terms, and of course to lead the reader to expectations of seeing a hard life to come.

Thanks very much for coming along rewardless. We are trying to get this all finished in this "free" sponsored membership year. It has been around for too long. Only still here because of the above. Not looking for further edits just nice that you are willing to go through it. I have a lady from our church willing to pay for the publishing but I have to get all the pictures "fig'd" and in the places I want them before I can get her to read it through and see if she likes it.

Good Luck getting the support from the lady at church! I hope she follows through for you. It's definitely difficult to pay for many things. If that doesn't work out, you can always try having it published through Amazon. That's where I did my book. Unfortunately, without funding to promote my own or to hire a cover illustrator, my book hasn't gone too far.
So, definitely make sure you can advertise and market and get a good cover for the book.

I already know what I want for the cover. I have some good photos of a special building in the city I want to use and get a friend to do artwork over the top of it for the title and some graphics in line with the title of the book.

Well, we finally get to the start of your bio.
Explanation of being written in British English sets the tone well for those who may chose to find errors in how the wording goes.
As I enjoy reading Bios, I wiill have to follow this one.

About time mate. Thanks. Sorry you have missed out on Rewards. Have been driven mad by Americans who think yank, Rebel Coonass and Redneck lingo is the only stuff around! Appreciate your visit. You have a long way to go.

Thank you for adding the photograph of the lovely couple! I enjoyed your introduction to your book and learned the Aussie slang word "strine" plus the fact that Shaw first said "Life wasn't meant to be easy." Smiles- Joan

Thanks Joan, I appreciate you getting on board so sorry no rewards left on this. I might do a promotion on the whole book again a bit later. Been building up the funny money a bit lately, as I guess I am too busy to spend it on my posts hehe. Cheers.

I just wrote and published a book about my past. It was the scariest day of my life when it went on Amazon but it was so freeing. I'm excited to meet you through this book. And 32 years is an impressive amount of time with one another. We just had our second anniversary.

No worries, I have read a lot of stuff from Australia and England. You start to realize after a while that it is not American.
I think I will take a look see. You and your wife look so sweet.

Thanks for going all the way back Sis. This was done ages after the book was nearly completed hehe. Still not published yet. Needing a Foreword but as one of our old FS members said I might have to write the Foreword myself hehe.

You get a six for that cute gal right off the bat. Clever you!
Perfect intro. These are difficult to write. There's a tendency to go on and on when getting right to the point is what the reader wants. You've done that beautifully here. You've covered the things that need to be covered, a good idea to give a heads up about language and also what lies ahead. Makes me want to turn the page. Mission accomplished. mikey

I can't remember if you saw the new chapter I added about our difference in {Politics has a picture of Sir Henry Parkes on it he is a father of Australian Federation.

Thanks Kathpot, not sure we have met before. Always a relief to meet another Aussie that understands our "Strine!" hehe. I have attempted to do a last foray into my book before I try and get it published...even self-publish. I have just put this intro up again even though I am well into the final run...we are nearly half way through the book. Hope you will check out a couple of other chapters that have rewards. I will do my best to reciprocate and check out your stuff as well. I wrote this Introduction quite a lot later than the original work, as I felt it was necessary. Cheers, from Western Sydney.

Hi Sankey, I look forward to reading the new updated version. I didn't get very far in the story before. I always love the Aussie slang. I miss my good friend Fez and his comedic tales. I hope he is okay. He has not been on the site for quite a while.

Hi, new friend. pretty sure we have not met before. Thanks for this wonderful review. There are one or two more chapters up already this (a new chapter added to help things along a bit)was hopefully a final run through prior to self-publishing but already getting some more ideas from recent reviews. Thanks again and great you understand Aussie lingo. Grammarly has been a pain even set for British English still getting things WRONG! Cheers and be looking for your stuff as I get time. I try and reciprocate as much as I can.
