Yes, happy chicks, indeed. But, man, oh man, do they ever make a racket until momma comes to feed them! We've got a nest of blue jays just outside our bedroom window, in an old oak tree. I'd say there are about four to five chicks in there now, I can't tell for certain. Momma won't allow me to get close enough to find out.

Great little 3-5-3 here. It certainly fulfills the obligations of the contest.

This is lovely. I really like the 353 wording because I think it's quite effective and would make quite a good haiku. Also you have a sweet picture to illustrate. Good luck with the competition.

I love the picture. I love the baby birds. I think they can be very demanding on their parents. But I think the parents are glad to do the work. We [parents seem to forgive the demands our kids make on us. Great work and good luck with the contest.

Hi there
I am working my way through he entries for the 3/5/3 writing prompt competition. Some great entries. It's good to see yours, as I love nature. The only thing I find is that with the new large format sizing, the photos are often blurred, which always effects the overall presentation. But aside from that, I think your entry will do well.
