Hi Mary,
are those geese smiling? I guess they were the six lucky ones, the seventh one obviously got plucked.
Beautiful painting and coupled with the words, this poem did rise, was digested and enjoyed.
With our thoughts we create,
nature's magic,

Thanks James for the review for my painted geese, there should have been six ones, Mary

Very nice artwork of your own, Mary.
Even when all written in lower case, I think 'i' presents much better as 'I' which I don't consider to be upper case, and I find 'i' distracting - but maybe I'm odd. :-)
Hey, I just noticed there are only SIX geese in your painting, so I guess you ate the other one for lunch. ;-)
Cheers, Ted

I agree with you about I it does look better, but when I put it in one before a top poet said if you use lower case you must stay in it including the i. The seventh geese would not stay around when I was painting it. You are the first to notice.
Thank you for the review. Mary

Not all so-called 'top poets' always know what they're talking about, Mary. :-)
LOL at the 7th goose's shyness.

This looks like a watercolor. Your art work is beautiful and so is your 5-7-5. Talented x2. I like that each of the three lines rhyme.

Some times a painting or a picture will trigger our minds to write a beautiful poem...love your poem and the picture is perfect...

This poem and the illustration form one single image, I like the way they combine to tell a 'whole story,' it's a pleasant story that flows well and has good effect, enjoyable combination, good luck.

Bet that is your own art work. Good job on the end rhyme, not always easy to accomplish in such a short form.
You did it without obliterating the meaning. Good luck in the contest.

good pairing of artwork and poem, which is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable format
good use of optional rhyming

This is an interesting poem. I'm thinking the success of your picture is what elevated your mood to the point of feeling you were in heaven. The art is lovely, too. Good luck, Jeanie Mercer

Oh clever ! doubly blessed with your talents ! Succinct, apt and joyful. Your obvious delight in the subject of your panting is evident - but which came first ? the rhyming is excellent - - so clever to think of leaven - as if the art was inspired by the poem (or is it the other way round ?) whichever way it 'arose' - well done !!

The prompt is a 5-7-5 poem, about liking something. So I did look through my art to be inspired.
Thank you for the review and comments.

I must admit, I love every bit! From the fact that it was 100% your own piece in words AND watercolor down to the kind author notes that helped me (mr. limited vocabulary)! ; ) I feel six stars is very deserving! My first!
Oh yeah, and I am ALWAYS in favor of smaller case letters, except when trying to overly stress boldness or assertiveness...which this piece was (to ME) meant for serenity ; )

I am so pleased you enjoyed my poem. You say you are new, so I will take the opportunity of welcoming you to FS but you cannot know who I am until the contest is over.
Thanks again for the six
