Wonder the little tiger feels about being in a costume? The cat certainly would delight children of all ages! Best of luck in the contest with this humorous entry. Blessings, Linda

Thanks, Linda. He probably doesn't know he's in a costume, but might enjoy the attention from kids. Hopefully, the costume isn't too warm or uncomfortable and he doesn't mind getting his picture taken. Appreciate your comments. BTW, I voted for your Impetuous Imp. Cheers ... ;o) Art

Hah ha, well, I guess they make just about every kind of costume you could think of for animals these days.
At least you dress up your cat and get the kiddies to laugh on trick-or-treat night. Not me...
I dress up in a scarecrow costume, place myself in front of the bales of hay and cornstalks we have sitting out in our front yard, then wait until the kiddies walk past me after getting their candy...it's worth selling tickets to, let me tell ya!
Great 5-7-5, and good cluck...er, uh, I mean LUCK in the contest...

Thanks! Ha - I'll bet you terrify those little goblins so they spill their candy as they run screaming into their parents arms. A scary scarecrow will give those kiddos some real nightmares - not like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz. But, you will have a ball. You should videotape some of the action and post the best ones on YouTube ... ;>}

Funny and enjoyable 575. The tykes must really enjoy this cute costume. I must say my cat Pearly would never tolerate a costume of any kind and would scratch the heck out of me if I tried getting her into one.

Pearly sounds like quite the character having nothing to do with putting on a costume. She's pretty smart. She might tolerate some of the smaller 'trick or treaters', and probably sees right through their disguises. Glad you enjoyed this 5-7-5. Appreciate your comments ... ;o)

Thanks, Sueellen - Not exactly sure what they think, but as long as they get attention and aren't too uncomfortable and get some kitty treats, life is good. Appreciate your comments ... starkat

Hello RunningincirclesheadlessIndy - Well, I'm delighted that you're delighted with this poem and picture. Kiddos would do 'meows' and 'clucks' to get kitty's attention. Kitty might be aloof to strangers on Halloween. There would be some funny moments, for sure, when tiny trick or treaters met chicken-cat. Do appreciate all your comments ... ;o) HalloweeneyKitty

Easy to see why kids would love to see this! My sister and I used to dress our cats for pet parades! Good 5-7-5 form and a cute photo!

That must have been a fun and funny parade - lots of smiles for everyone, and probably some uncomfortable pets. Glad you liked this 5-7-5 and the fun photo. Appreciate your comments ... ;o)

That was sooo adorable. The picture speaks a thousand words. I especially liked "mewos mixed with clucks". That cat seems a bit recuctant to wear chicken's costume, but I don't think his owners the humans asked his permission (smile).
Such a great entry.
One suggestion: I think, bolding the text color will bring out the presentation. It looks a little pale. Just a thought.
Best of luck in the contest, love, Y.

Thanks, Y, for your review and creating this contest! Glad you liked this 5-7-5 and the cute photo. Yes, the cat does appear a bit reluctant. Okay - I boldfaced the text and changed the color a bit to bring out the presentation. Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate all your comments ... ;o) A
