WOW! Very sensual imagery. Your choice of words were good. It let the reader imagine the scene. Now tell me was it really the Mona Lisa you were speaking of...a dream of sorts....or someone who reminds you of the Mona? Good work poet.

Cheer up kiddo. Don't make excuses for your writing. You are as good a writer as any of us. A poem has to flow nice, layout nice, and follows any form given or not. If too many mis-spelled words or punctuation needs editing a poet will get my 3 or 4 depending how bad the writing is. You passed all my requirements. For a six, which I found out can only be awarded two times a month, a poem has to be exceptional...bringing tears to my eyes, or a lot of laughter....in other words one that should be next to the great poets of our times. So I don't give too many sixes...you deserve the five or I wouldn't have awarded it to you.mkeep writing.

A very poignant piece, leading the reader from the innocence of the first drink to the horrors of addiction. This is a road traveled by many, I am no exception. It vividly illustrates the love hate relationship one has with their chemical. Use this fire to create instead of destroy.
