My dear Carolyn,
En route today to my delightful perusal of some of your illustrious works, whereof I can never commend enough indeed, I abruptly came - & paused at this most "majestic" one ....
Ah! Too overwhelming is this piece for me to comment upon ....
Hence, I truly don't understand as to how I ought to begin ; let me make my impending feeling known this way :
WHAT A POEM ! - or should I say : WHAT AN UNPARALLELED PIECE OF CLASSIC PROFOUNDNESS ! Fraught in sublime touches of "Devout Idealism " , with grand, archaic "Cecil Frances Alexander-styled" stanzas , the choicest mastery of articulate diction, you so wonderfully employ, rings out in vivid clarity - unfolds before the reader's admiring eyes, the unforeseen beauty of a stoic bend of heart, which I presume, you most duly possess.
Besides, I also find it brilliantly rhymed, (in a varied sequence of alternate rhyming schemes) ; & perfectly executed, above all - in every conceivable sense ..... with such gracious poise in terms of cadence and metre , as I have seldom chanced beholding hitherto, save in sundry works of the early 19th century Romanticists.
Indeed, this poem should indubitably bear its hallowed presence in the annals of FS as being " one of the finest of poems ever composed, in any genre " ..... Brilliantly done. Too impeccably have you fared, Madam, to even deem a thousand modest stars ; for even they'll not prove sufficient enough to fathom the priceless worth of your outstanding genius .... You have moved me with your indescribable lines of divine poesy.
Had I been a regular member, I would inevitably have given you a 6 - star rating, without the slightest ado!
But, since that 6-star scale is not available to me as a 'standard member', I am forced for the present, much to my own uncomplacent dismay, to give you a modest five ... Yet, do accept them, knowing them to be a humble token of my heartfelt appreciation; a befitting mark of my fondest appraisal ....
Hence, lending to you my warmest regards and deferential respect, I choose to end here for good! ... Well done, my lady ; unto Thee I humbly bow ! :)

Sagnik, my friend, I am the humbled one. I do write from my grateful heart and so appreciate that you can 'see' me through my work. Variety is essential for my 'silly' personality, my 'motherly' nature, and my 'spiritual' being. You are such a prolific writer yourself ,that your reviews have become an exciting part of my writing process. Thank you so very much. I am glad you enjoyed 'Keep Me'. Please write and post something soon as you have a lot to say. Your friend, Carolyn

Carolyn, You're indubitably one of a kind .....
Scarcely in my own nation have I ever come across someone as affable, as profound & as sagaciously understanding as your noble self.
You are, in every way an exemplar, not only for me alone; but to humanity at large .
Much thankful to Providence I remain, for allowing me to partake of the gracious acquaintance of such an exalting personality .....
I shall ever remain obliged to you, & upgrade my membership in no time ( had just been waiting all these days for my "perilious" University examinations to end, which, much to my relief they finally will , this July, the 5th ....
And then, ah, its freedom again .... I'll finally breathe, & commune unbridled with you all, who have, by now become for me, a part of my family ...
Just give me a few more days, my friend, & Lo! - I shall be back to you in no time ! :)
Very fondly yours,
Sagnik.

This is a lovely poem and prayer to God. He is powerful and we ask Him to keep us meek.
You wrote:
All mighty strength, don't let me fail
In UK English: Almighty
Not sure about US English.
Lovely poem.

Thanks for the great review. I think you are right in any English. Isn't it odd what we over look? I am glad you like it Nicole. Carolyn

You feelings of being blessed come through in this poem. Hope and faith too.I like:
When my love for mankind falters
And belief in 'good' grows weak
This captures the quandary we are in today with all the world's strife.

A really beautiful picture of the Lord caring for His children. Really well done, good rhyme and flow. I see no errors and have no suggestions for improvement as it is good the way it is.

I Love this. It is beautiful and spiritual. My favorite line is "whirling world with strife and stress". At the end are you talking about going to heaven? It is so wonderfully written and flows great! Fantastic read! I write about my belief as well. I love how many of my brothers and sisters of Christ are here!

This is a beautiful poem of Faith - a lovely
prayer.
I love the repetition of "Keep Me" which emphasizes
your trust.
Excellent rhyme and good use of alliteration.
Thanks for sharing. Nancy

Comment from Chrisann
Lovely prayer, I mean poem, :)! Makes me want to get on my knees and pray with you! But the word, "meek" at the end of the second stanza, brings it to a choppy end. Maybe if you rearranged "contrite, humble and meek" somehow, you'd get a better flow. Blessings!
