It sounds like she started to believe in destiny, hope and fairytales, then all of a sudden it came crashing down on her that not everything is as it seems... And soon enough, within the blink of an eye it was all taken from her... Now she's just empty... Nothing... Great write:) xx

Indeed a write of lament and hopelessness JC. Beautifully orchestrated down the screen in an outpouring of feeling and despair. I think there is a time in everyone's life where they might pursue a love that wasn't meant to be. Cupid is a bastard and often makes the ladies fall for the smooth talker. I guess its up to them to make head and tail of it but like you said, when words are like the caress of a heartstring, it makes it nigh impossible. I felt your hurt in this one. Hope it gets better. Really well written mate, you sure have a knack for free verse. Oh how I envy thou. But just remember, the world will NEVER be short of heart breakers so hang in there. LOL

Hey hun, I know the feeling.
I think some of them just know what they do and turn on the charm.
I'm in a relationship where there is no physical abuse, but at times I'm in constant emotional turmoil.
Long story...
I think its something like You made your bed...LOL Hang in there honey. I've done hopelessness. It f**king well sucks mate.
Occasionally I STILL do hopelessness and think about one that got right away one time. Ahhhh...the power of the written word. For some, it holds a lotta water. *hand up* Guilty as charged.

Hi Jaq....-smile- masterfully crafted poem. Every once in a... blue moon...you'll meet someone and just...know...you would be good together....like you've known them forever....easy , comfortable air shared...not pretentious play acting. I wish it worked out like in old the movies, but real life comes with complications that turn relationships into hard work...some don't have the stamina or resolve. Oh, Jaq, I am going to need extra six star ratings following you - this is exceptional and I apologise wholeheartedly for not being able to rate it so.

The flow to this free verse is exquisite, yout similes are wonderful but, best of all, I could "feel" the sadness of the piece. A most impressive free verse and your artwork selection is perfect.

I like this free verse. Although this piece has no rhyming, it flows really well. The writer delivers a message that is filled with hopelessness. The photo represents this piece well as this piece holds my attention from start to finish.
