Beautiful! Such a rare sight in our 'progressive' world - and so refreshing to know that not all is lost.

Long but, lovely. I enjoyed reading your poem. Color scheme is nice so is the photo, progression and rhythm as well as your clever use of wording. Lovely job, Deb

Wow. Now I'm a little teary. Bless that child who marches to her own drummer. Bless any child who does. Love the noisy chatter of the first part and the way this slows down and loses steam as you introduce us to the hope for our time. Just wonderfully done and beautifully written. Perfect language and tone. Wonderful. Sharyn, you just never disappoint. Love the sound of your grass harp.

Nice ending. To her own song. Felt the frustration over your opinion of todays young and some old. Then your writing softened as you unleash the one that is pure and innocent, skipping happily with herself.
Good reading. Good poem.

Hi Sharyn,

This is well penned and great message in it I enjoyed the read. So true though it's the music within that holds the key.
Loved it.
Thanks for sharing it.

HELLOOO!

IS ANYBODY THERE? ... this is just priceless! You've echoed what I think everytime I see a bunch of bugged out kids - and adults too - crossing a street, oblivious to the world. What kind of generation are we raising? - no social skills, no verbal skills. Communicating only by text - unable to read facial expression or body language.

Robot-ville! Scary, really.

Oh, and what an amazing, wonderful, hopeful end to the tale.

Fabulous, Sharyn - told only as you could! :)

To visionary1234,
Amongst the confusing world there can still be a bit of normalcy left you just have to find it or create it the best way do know how.

My dear Sharyn,
You make free verse into poetry (not REAL poetry of course, but great sounding words and wonderful expression) and this tale is just too priceless in your description of a rescue from the mayhem that is today by the simple expedient of seeing a little girl WITHOUT a phone.
Best regards
Reg

I want to meet that girl! Every young person you see nowadays has something stuck to them. They are going to have carpal tunnel syndrome before age thirty! I could relate to this pissy mood at the world. Wish we were closer. We'd go have a drink and laugh about it! Great write!

Super funny--

HELLOOO!

IS ANYBODY THERE?

Answer nowadays--

Nooooooooooooooo!

It's a date. Just don't hold your breath; because it make take another lifetime for me to afford the trip. If I sell a book--maybe--might get more than 2 cents for royalties. LOL! MN :)
