There you go - at least I have a six to give you!
I keep thinking I should try some free verse but I know I can't possibly compete with these gems of yours....
Love the joyous periwinkle day - may we have many more of them, although right now, in the middle of the worst drought hereabouts in living memory, I'd settle for some slate grey downpours.

oh bless you Steve! I'm so glad you got to this one - needless to say, it was fun to write. You're so good at formal patter-verse (and every other formal verse for that matter). Do you write free verse? I actually haven't ready any of it if you do. Funny how some things come so easily - I wrote free verse even when I was 14 or 15 I remember. Blessings for the lovely six! :)S

Colours fragrance speed and movement, jovial simple lovely hearty relation pleases life to move on, makes the poet happy, a nice feeling around is well versed, simply exposed an attitude toward living, symphonically said.

Invigorating and unique. I like the phrases, "leap deep run, red to red, stroking me alive". Shows originality in word combinations. Well done.

Seems so much of what made you happy in your poem, makes me happy too. You described it all beautifully. We should all stop and take more time to see the beauty in the simple.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of our lives, if we can just for a moment, stop and be thankful for what we have and not bitter for what we don't, the world seems a bit better place. Our younger set could learn a lesson from your words my friend, as well as a few of the older, spoiled ones I know.

Thanks so much Curt - yes, it's something for all of us to remember, isn't it? We make the everyday nonsense far too real sometimes.

You are certainly are pantheist. I'm kind of a pantheist too. I love to look at nature in all its beauty and ugliness. Discovery Channel and National Geography are on all the time here. Great poem.

Absolutely! Much more convenient, too, than going into a stuffy old church I think JM. :)S

You speak words of wisdom in this lovely poem. Yes, we should all take a moment and appreciate all that God has provided for us.
