Your many description of the wind and how it can be seen is great. I've viewed all these ways and have even suffered the loss of property in 100 MPH winds. Your picture of winds on the ocean is outstanding.

Thanks for your wonderful comments. I am sorry for your loss of property, I think most of us can relate to that, the power of the wind can not be leashed. Best always, Carolyn

Well penned throughout. Thanks for sharing it.

I enjoyed reading your poem about the wind. With the wind being something we can't see but feel, you have described it well within this poem. I was glad you included the the soft side and the harsher side of the wind. I also believe it is a mystery of creation and only God can reveal its mystery in His time. Great poem.

A beautifully worded piece about the power and majesty of the wind. Descriptive images and a faith based ending give the work a lofty and inspirational feel that appeals to many.

I used to think it was awesome that the wind could be heard and not seen. Something so powerful yet invisible. This was a beautiful poem about something that as you said is never very far away. Nice job.

I love the wind
You never know where it's going
And never know where it's been <<<< very nice first stanza! I have thought about this very thing so many times and it's great to see someone write about it.

The wind is never absent or never far away
It can sit silently waiting
For all the leaves to get still
then quickly stir them up until
Leaf laden tree limbs
begin to dance and sway <<<< when you think about it, it's a bit of a brain teezer, but you are so right..

The wind comes in many forms
A baby breeze, gentle, soft and soothing
Or a gust, and in its wake carrying tumble weeds
Sand and dust
A tornado, hurricane, gale, or a storm
Then can settle and once again
with such a tame and transparent air <<< lovely poetry
prompt children to chase their kites with glee
As the wind blows playfully through their hair <<< such a great visual. I can see the kites

Where is the wind going
And where has it been
Over rock, hills , rivers and seashore
Tall lofty mountains and plains of lush green sod
It's but one more mystery of creation <<<< a clever point and it flows so nicely as does all of this poem
Known to Him only and will be revealed
When time is no more
By Our Magnificent, Hallowed and
Awesome God <<< I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Thanks for sharing this lovely work... Regards, Robert

I posted a poem this day called The Wind. You poem is a lot longer with more detailed poetic thoughts than mine is. I liked this poem and its poetic voice. This was a very enjoyable piece of poetic art to have read... John
