Fishing in the pockets of your portfolio for poems, I found this one but no 6 stars. Thrum is a hum-drum word, has no personality. The last line would have tingled as this:

a thousand chiming
silver bells arouse my soul,
TINGLING AT YOUR TOUCH

Hugs, john

Thanks, John. I appreciate the look into my portfolio. As you can see, I'm not much into poetry. Thanks for the suggestion and insights. Warm regards, Bev

Dear Bev, Nope! Do not agree with your self-appraisal of your poems. They are SUPREME not only in their various technical demaads (Haiku Tanka, etc) but always beautifully poetic. Indeed, that prowess dances in many passages of your stories. That you do BOTH so well is testimony to my esteem of your literary powers. I have joined only 2 Fan Clubs (yours and Robin Gilmore), and as a poet myself, love perfection. The kind you write both in poetry and prose.

Wow, I'm just blown away by your gracious words of encouragement. Thank you for caring enough to read and review. Lately, I've been getting some internal prompts to do a bit more poetry. I think you've moved that a bit more forward! It's lovely having a new FanFriend who is both honest enough to make suggestions and working on the same wavelength.

    Kindest regards, Bev

P.S. Check out Mrs. Dark. Julie's poetry is just fabulous!

Thank you, Bev, for the lead to Mrs. Dark. As you said, her poetry IS fabulous and I have joined as a Fan, only the 4th one, and that quartet are all women! Look out, Keats, Yeats, Shelley and cummins! These brilliant poetesses are coming after you! hugs, john

John, you absolutely rock. So glad you checked out Julie. I believe she's pretty new to the site, so I'm sure she'll love hearing from you. And she is good about reviewing in turn. Hugs, Bev

I don't know how I missed this one--it must have been for a blind contest. I admired your 5-7-5 and hope it did well in the contest. Your use of alliteration intensifies the message, and "thrum" has a wonderful "ring" to it (no pun intended!). Hugs- Joan

I liked your poem. I think this could be seen in different ways. I can see a couple in love and when they touch there is that chiming that runs thru their bodies arousing their souls. Thank you for sharing. Good luck. RJ

I love the picture. It looks like the object could create a lovely sound. I love the poem. Hearing bells as you feel love is a pretty good experience. Great work/.

Hello. Good try with this Haiku and good image used as an image to blur the thousand bells ringing. I liked your first two sentences. Its the last sentence that reads bumpy. To flight at your touch" hmm... "Vi/bra/ting your touch. " Hope my input helps. Again. We're all helping each other improve. I'm learning too.

Excellent haiku! The author connected the first two lines well. The last line clearly put the entire poem
together. Thank you for a well written poem...harmony13
