Isn't that something? What despair! I trust the Lord that I will never get to that state where I cannot see or hear Him all around me.
Tony
p.s. I got the message from your poem. I woke up this morning stressing about a difficult situation in my life at this time. I did not think to release it to the Lord until I read your poem.
So you see your poem is not only about thinking that God is missing in action but also a reminder of where we should take our cares.
Thanks.

Wow! I loved this. You hit the nail right on the head with this one. God is in all those things, but when one finally understands Gods role in our daily lives, one learns that the small, quiet moments within our lives is when he himself is with us the most. To many, like the man in your poem look for signs, but not only can they not see them, but they can't feel them either. Thus many are that way.
If you go back in my portfolio and read, A night to Remember and another one where I describe the one and only time I met my birth mother who had been in a mental hospital for 30 years of her life, before she died, six months after I met her.
God the Father was with me both times and has been with me all my life, and now whenever I reflect on him, I know when he was with me in all my life, yet few care, for my life would be boring to them. God bless and I loved this very much.

I wrote Tears a couple of years ago. I wrote it about a friend who was going through a very bad time and so was totally blind by all that was going on around him

ParisJean, this is a brilliant, beautiful piece. I know what our deal was, but you my dear are a very good poet. I see that this was a contest entry, I can't imagine what won. It is packed with power. Magnificent work.

Hi
This story does not have an ending though I can conclude this sad affair as well as most who read you're excellent story about God speaking but no one is listening. I have come to know that God is indeed speaking and now, with my eyes and ears open I am listening.

Thank you for the 6 star rating Tengeresz, I am so pleased that ' Tears ' touched you

God all the time had been answering his prayers and continued to repeatedly talk to him but he just didn't see, so the ending is he just continued to cry.
-
So yes ' Tears ' does have an ending, A very sad one

Very warm tale, giving a message of expectation, ignoring what is given "I will supply your every need, ...DENY You no good thing" Like the man waiting on the roof after praying for GOD TO SAVE, ignoring the boat etc.

This is like another poem I have read. Where the man is met by God in many ways. but he doesn't see it. very nice work. keep your creative mind open for God's verse.

Wow! I've just seen your poem Parisjean. This is brilliant!! What a fantastic illustration of how much God is trying to get through to people at times, but He goes unnoticed. There are so many things God does to get our attention, and He is so loving and patient He still tries again and again, not forcing Himself on anyone but gently reaching out to them. How sad when this is missed. Thank you for sharing such a lovely poem.! Bless you... Christine

I really enjoyed this poem. In the second to last verse You probably should capitalize the "Touch". This reminded me of the man on his roof in a flood. He prayed for God to help him. He refused help from the passing boats because he was sure God would save him. He died. When he got to heaven, he asked why God hadn't saved him. God said "Well, I sent 2 boats! What more do you want!"

First of all, this was a great poem. I loved the message you give with this. God does work in mysterious way, but these ways weren't all that mysterious. It reminds me of a joke:
A man was drowning in the ocean. A boat came by and offered help, but the man said, "No thank you. God will save me." This went on for two more boats before the man died and went to heaven, where he asked God why he didn't save him.
God replied, "I sent you three boats, dummy."
Loved this poem. :)

I love the joke you just sent to me, it does speak truth though. I was inspired to write ' Tears ' due to a friend being in a dark place, he was totally blindfolded to all the love and help that was around him, so hence that's how I came to write this poem. But my friend has at last pulled through. Thank you for your review Edward.

That was really amazing, from beginning to end. Thats so true we ask God to talk to us or show us a sign but we never hear or see the sign because of our problems. Thank you for sharing
