Thank you for directing me to this story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I am glad things worked out for all of the dogs in this story. Best wishes to you!

What an amazing story! This look up at us from a dog's view is precious, funny, sad, and realistic. I really appreciated some of your rawer scenes, probably because I try to throw a few into everything I write.
"Being fifty-six(?), my mother's third litter by rape,"
"Park Avenue bitches love to nuzzle my chest,"
'I proceeded to make my mark on his face, head and hair." (Priceless!)
You are a much better author than you give yourself credit for.

There was a mistake wheee you say one and it should be on where you say eyes one me. Then another place where you say they go by it should be the. I hate it when anyone mistreats aanimal. You did a good job on being a dog. I didnt like it where you used the Lords name in vainbut then again thats your business you'll be the one who will have to give account for that when you get to the judgement seat of Christ. Good luck

This is a sweet dog story with a real hero-type dog doing good deeds. I like his tough guy way of talking and his thoughts about getting old and going to his Maker. You do, however, need to read your writing aloud and be sure you wrote what you think you wrote. Because you have real talent as a writer, I have a long list of things you should correct starting at the top: . . . twenty-one, immaculately puffed(,) groomed(,) and . . . Bitches(') man . . . . . . body tighten(ed) and his eyes roll(ed) back. How did he untie Maltese from tree? . . . person(')s report. . . . . . screeching off (off). . . . kind-faced . . . How'd he get off the top of the cab without biting Maltese in half? . . . burst (though) the . . . . . . reflect on (no comma) why . . . . . . because (they) say all . . . Best of luck with this. It is interesting.

This could very well be the dog himself talking. You have done a marvelous job showing how cruel it can be out there for the homeless and neglected. I loved him saving the little maltese and scaring the horrible boys. He is definitely his own dog.

I saw two typos:
-burst threw(through) the front door
- because the(they) say all doggies

Such a great, if somewhat sad story. Very interesting different type of dog story. Our dogs do many things for us, many have saved lives, and they all deserve to be treated well.

Excellent piece ! Great inner dialogue and imagery. It's both sad and humorous. You did justice to all homeless, abused or neglected animals. Very enjoyable to read.

What a nice idea, a dog hero rescuing smaller dogs. I was kind of hoping he'd be rescued himself in the end, but your ending works. Nice work.
