Sounds like you are doubly blessed -- angels all around and a friend like VisionaryPoet to inspire. By all means, shower us with a series of blessings.

Wonderful, very full of light and wonder. Paints a beautiful picture of the angels painting the aurora and ties the reader into the feeling of the author of the wonder of such a sight.

Wondrous, both the poem and the Aurora. Sounds like a female name doen't it. I only saw it once just north of Boston, but your painting angels only had white paint that night. I lay down in my back yard and watched it in awe for hours.

handmaidens of Aurora's smile - what a beautiful flow to that plus great imagery - one wants to close her eyes and visualize it
I like the irregular rhyming, the flow when read aloud and the
lighthearted tone of this - it is an enchanting concept, and I can well see it as part of a series. Brooke

This is a very good poem. It holds the rhythm and the rhyme extremely well, all the way through. It flows smoothy from one stanza to another. And is presented beautifully.
Thanks for sharing it.

An excellent poem of rhythmical beauty and full of colour as was your intention. I enjoyed reading it, but I think there appears to be on typo.
The reference to
A most auspicious site I think you meant sight as in vision

This is very beautiful. I love "a paintbrush of prismatic hues just for velour's of night." I think this is an excellent poem evoking the wonders of the colors of the sky.

This is awesome, I felt so good after reading this. Gives one a good feeling and this poem would be a nice one to frame. Just so well written and I love the idea of angels painting.

Hi, Helvi.
Excellent meter til the last 2 lines;
'The blush upon the ribbons ['THAT']
Aurora so demands
This retains the 'da-DUM' and brings in the required 8th syllable to the penultimate line.
A lovely whimsical poem
'A paintbrush of prismatic hues' - although I find 'hue' an overused and irritating word, it works great in this cleverly alliterated line.
Excellent.
Best wishes, Ray xx

HI Ray,
You know me and meter! To me a pentameter is foot and mouth disease. I tend to stick my poetic foot in my mouth all the time. I geuss, Ill have to pry it out AGAIN! Thanks for catching the error and for your kind words.
Smiles and Hugs, Helvi

You've done great here, Helvi.
10 syllables per line is 'pentameter'
8 is 'tetrameter'
6 is 'trimeter'
I'm experimenting with mainly 11-11-11-8 (dunno if it has a name, LOL,)
in my current kids fantasy poetry book called 'The Alphabet Spell. The latest 2 chapters are still paying well, and you may like them, should you get a chance. ;-)
Best wishes, ray xx
