Finally, he got what he deserved. Nice conclusion of your series. Writing a whole story through your rhyming art was like watching a detective show on the television or a soap opera where you wanted to continue to know what was happening next. I wonder what you'll do next what kind of story you'll write.
Happy Tuesday

Interesting post about the serial killer in the Kirby case. I'm interested in crime stories, movies, podcasts.

You covered the experience of prison life well. There's a power hierarchy from bottom to top inmates.

Well done!

Gypsy

Thank you, gypsy for your wonderful and thoughtful review

I hope you don't know about prison life from personal experience, like having relatives or friends there

No, I don't know anybody in prison but I can imagine by the movies I watch.

Yes, the body decays, the soul burns in hell, the suffering of lost loved one will always be felt all because of an evil deed. Glad it is solved. You did well with this. Thanks for sharing your talent.

And so it ends as most of us knew it would. Whether right or wrong, a case like this where proof of guilt is so strong, there is only one way it could have ever ended. Every inmate in that prison with a beloved female friend or relative would have demanded no less.

    Hi nomi

Yes, a lot of serial killers have been killed in prison like Jeffrey Dahmer.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review and read my poem and to give me such a generous rating

I really enjoyed how your poem paints this gritty picture of prison life. The way you capture the secrecy around the murder is powerful. The ending is so powerful - it's almost haunting how the person is erased from existence. Your poem really kept me interested with its intense atmosphere. Keep up the great work!

Thank you, Michael for your encouragement. However, I do not think I will do another anthology in crime drama. People lost interest, and there weren't a whole lot of views towards the end.

But I'm glad you liked it and followed it and I thank you for the wonderful review

Well, he certainly served life in jail, Pam.
although the life was cut somewhat shorter than the usual expected lifespan.
As were his victims.
He deserves no pity, remorse, or memorial to mark his grave.
A fitting end.

Would it be terrible of me to say this is the perfect ending, and I have no sympathy whatsoever for the man? I do suspect this would be prison justice, as any of the victims could as easily have been the other convicts' daughter/sister/niece.

I just read an article about how Sean Diddy Combs, who is accused of sex trafficking, is receiving hatred in prison, while Luigi Mangione, who killed the CEO of United Healthcare, is being treated like a hero, as many prisoners have felt they or their families were victimized by health insurance companies. Just one final indicator of how your story could have been a real news report. I'm sorry to see it end.

Truly had some powerful and memorable lines here. Loved the stanza that used Shanks/Ranks and the Pods/gods. You painted a vivid description of all that took place.
