I think her young age and Myra's deep needs would weigh against her. As well as Noah not wanting Sami to go places by herself. Noah cannot take on anymore. And as long as he is in the FBI his time is not his own. It really could never work. However, she could help out with whoever does take care of her. Karen

Great chapter. I especially liked Amber's dialogue. She sounded so natural. I figure there will be more about her, or you wouldn't have brought her in at this point. You might want to include Amber in the dialogue. You might want to check your punctuation in this: "three grandchildren, two boys and one girl. Makes it sound like 6 total. Maybe a dash instead of a comma after grandchildren. Very touching visit with Myra at the hospital. She was really badly treated when she was being held. Seems a lot of responsibility for Sami to be her foster parent, as she is so young. It would certainly please Myra. judi

This was excellent reading, as are all your chapters. These two visits revealed much and showcased Noah and Sami's commitment to each other. I appreciate your prose which could have included many expletives, but you took the creative way out.

The future is starting to take shape in this chapter for Sami and Noah. First she gets some encouragement from Amber and some advice, to stay focused on the relationship and not let work interfere with it. Noah seems to take it to heart too. There's a couple of little technical things like repeating "moisture filled their eyes" consecutively that I think seem a little awkward, but that's an easy fix in editing. The dialogue is pretty realistic, as always, although the characters seem a little quick to tears, especially for people who don't really have that close of a relationship, but that can be fixed too. The real step is when Sami starts considering adopting Myra, and as the social worker suggests her application would fare better as a couple, Noah quickly steps in and gives his support. So we can see them in the future as foster parents for this battered and damaged girl. Like I said, we see the future taking shape in front of them here. estory

I'll take a look at that. I added a moisture filled eyes as I posted. Probably need to remove it. Thank you for the kind review.

Aw Barbara, this was a lovely chapter, regardless of all the heartbreak within. Now, Noah is taking Sami out for a treat. I'm really looking forward to that. Great writing and story. Hugs, Ulla xcx

Barbra,

This is a great chapter to your book. Poor Myra she has a long way to go. I vaguely remember the chapter where she was rescued.

I don't know why when you write I don't get notified.

Well done my friend.

Cecilia

I wonder if Sami would have had the strenth to be with Myra if it hadn't been for Noah. He seems to be the cement in her foundation now. Very good chapter. The truth in the girls recovery sends chills through me.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

An interesting chapter. I am used to how Sami (female leads) are portrayed emotionally now. The writing is solid and nothing amiss stood out.

notes:

"I can't answer that. There's evidence she engaged in rough sex. Most girls at gentlemen's club engaged in sex."

-Wait. How is the doctor telling her any of this? He'd lose his job.
