The opening line is my favourite too.
I did receive at least one vote in the contest...having pets brings much happiness.

I like how you describe the pooch, but your last line suggests the white blanket--not the pooch--is hidden. I suggest restructuring your poem this way:
Hidden in plain sight
pooch plays hide and seek beneath
spotless white blanket

I get what you mean I wanted to put the last line with these ~ but it might not be enough .

Great photo that along with your Haiku brings gave not only a smile to may face but a joy in reading your words. Imagine the pup playing in the snow and easily disappearing in the snow. Very creative and impressive
