Wow! This brings back wonderfully memories of my childhood. Dad was always careful no branches were in the piles. We would scatter them leaves to a flat pile, then help him rake them up for another round.
Thank you for sharing this beautifully crafted piece piece, Gypsy. I've enjoyed reading other chapters added to this book as well.
God bless,
Steve

Lol. In parenting, there were so many patience lessons that I probably failed! Thanks for sharing this humorous little poem. I think as a grandparent, we have so much more patience!

I guess the lesson on patience being learned is by the father? The post fits the criteria very well and is very expressive of the intention.
Thanks for sharing.

Another fine poem, Gypsy------and it's so true, as a child the thins that interest you the him are miles apart and the line between needs to be done and will be done is more finely drawn!

I couldn't help but smile as I read this poem. Two weeks ago, when we were facetiming with one of my sons and his family, he had raked the leaves. In their back yard they have a hill. The little girls to a big piece of cardboard and slid done the hill into the mound of leaves. They had so much fun. Thank you bringing back this memory.
