Writing family history is a wise idea. When family members read, or listen to stories, it brings them closer together because they know their ancestors. You did a good job writing about William and Julia's wise decision to move to New Zealand. Great story. Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks for your comments, like you I think it is important to record family history Well actually Julia decided to give up on the relationship and start a new, very brave for a woman on her own in those days Thanks for the lovely stars

I like the approach taken here to telling the story, lifting the veil, as it were, little by little, engaging the reader, while stimulating the imagination.
