Unfortunately, your words ring true, our children's future is going to be decided by the rich few, the leaders of the present seem determined to make it very difficult for them, very well written****kahpot

Well, this is very different, Gypsy, as you travel at speed through the different eras and succinctly capture defining events. Quite poignantly, you find little to cheer our future generations. And I have to agree there! Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Yes, is a dramatic but somewhat true. I hope our children will have a better future.
Thank you very much, Debbie 😊

I know that you are a Christian, and therefore, such things while heinous are all spoken of and foretold in the word, through the Word. Does not mean we have to like it, or that we should sit back as passive people either. Well written and presented poem.

Thank you. I'm not sure why you mention that I'm a Christian. Mom
Thank you.

You're welcome. I have noticed this from your writings. I apologize if I am wrong. Today, one has to be so careful, but it is something I felt. I think you explore the Bible because you have an strong interest in knowing God,

I believe in God but I don't consider myself Christian. I'm more of an interfaith beliver. I don't like labels there's a lot about me...I don't fit in one box. But I know you meant it well.
I went to catechism as a child but I'm not a Bible expert. I like the new testament better.

Ok. I believe in God, but I am not your typical Christian. I have had much association with 'Eastern' faith or beliefs and like some and dislike others, but overall I am a complicated mix. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, I'm the same way.
Thích Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese: was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist, prolific author, poet and teacher. He is my favorite. He has written a book and said that Jesus is the Buddha of the west. I'm not a Buddhist but I like some of their beliefs.

I have read some of his work; my niece is Buddhist.

This was very cool, Gypsy. It is really interesting to think about the ages. The dark ages, the enlightenment, the iron age, the stone age. Each one we advance in one direction but lose something another way. Very cool poem. Gretchen
