Wow that was an emotional and chilling chapter. He's on his own now to repent wherever that might be. Yes, he's certainly gone one step too far. A great chapter, Jacob. Ulla:)))

Leaving is probably the best choice for Danielle and Callum. A storm seems to keep brewing around them and around her questions. Oliver seems very dangerous. I wonder if Abraham did what he thought Oliver wanted him to do as none of them seem to do anything without Oliver's plan, whatever it is.

Phew, the drama continues and Abraham is out on his ear. And I should think so too! I think the operative question here is "How can we trust you?" But trust him with what? One big guilty secret. Thanks for sharing this enjoyable read, Jacob. Take care Debbie

Abraham will probably end up on the street or killing himself. It sound like this place is going to self-destruct. Maybe other blame Danielle for things starting to go wrong. She should start thinkin about how she plans to get away.

I know I've said it before, but Danielle and Callum need to get out of there before something horrible happens to them. I think they can use Max, or Rebecca, was that her name, the police officer, or was it Rachel??

Maybe the police will see Abraham and come back to investigate... He has nothing. No clothes, no money, nothing. And Oliver sends a bone chilling shiver through me. Danielle isn't safe anywhere.
Smiles, Carol

What a gripping chapter! I was immediately drawn in by the emotions swirling around. Especially Oliver's fury and Abraham's desperation. I love how you captured the tension in the crowd. The image of Abraham trudging away, weighed down by his bloodied clothes, paints a powerful picture of his isolation. I can't wait to see where you take this story next!

Lots of action packed into this chapter, well, the last one too. Abraham has made a horrible mistake by trying to kill Danielle. Oliver about beats him to death, then casts him out of the compound. Now, whether that ends up being a mistake for the group or not, we'll have to wait to see. Interesting turn of evens.

BTW, I read every chapter, but don't always write a review, mostly because you post so fast, and partly because I want to just keep reading. Any rate, they are all good!!

Keep it up!!

Jacob,

Another fine chapter. You know I love this book. You always leave the reader wanting more.

There's one line that is confusing to me:

(An age seems) to slip past (before at last Abraham) seems to-just a suggestion, maybe use (Ages seem) to slip past (when Abraham finally) seems to

You do what makes sense to you, but I think the suggestions make that sentence easier to read.
