This work has reached the exceptional level

I have read a few of this imaginary party pieces but your version is funniest and easiest to read. I like your monogram "I Laugh at My Own Jokes" and you reached the conclusion in the end to make it a perfect ending.

Excellent.

LOL! Guess that sounds about like my account would have, sir -- pretty sure most folks wouldn't know who I was either (and I don't have a good name excuse like you do -- lol!)... A fun little recount here - and good luck selling the tux!! ;) :) ;) Yvette

    Thanks Yvette.
Thanks for the great comments. If I don't sell the tux, Ralph the dog can sleep on it. He is always in my chair sleeping. My name excuse comes in handy. 😁

Sometimes it's better to just sign the autograph than to explain the mixup. My father-in-law went to Japan for his job and everyone thought he was George Cobern. He politely posed for pictures and signed autographs. When in Rome... I enjoyed this! Gretchen

I understand that. People who asked me if I was the "real" Robert Zimmerman were disappointed with my answer. I am the real one, just not that one. I am pleased you enjoyed my "journal." Everyone else effectively summarized the party, I just wanted to clear up the appearance of Mr. Dylan. 😁

That's right - your name is Bob Dylan's real name! I didn't really think about it until you mentioned it. How fun to put on a Dylan mask and to re-introduce yourself this way!

    Thanks, Helen.
Everyone already described what was happening at the party. This was easier than restating what everyone else said. Bob Dylan didn't stay long.😁

I like your artwork and story to go with it, as well as your notes. A very good opening hook. Very good descriptive detail about your tux. You did a good responding to being jostled for a second time. I like your decision to get the Bob Dylan mask.

Good reactions when you walked back into the ballroom. A very good ending, as well.

Rapid Robert, my man, you were all decked out, "stylin' and profilin'" I think they call it, and I can picture you as the master of ceremonies. Thanks for sharing.

    Hey Ric.
Thanks for you input. when I was writing my version, all I could think of was Sharp Dressed Man and those ZZ Top beards. I'm glad you read and commented. good to hear from you.

I very much enjoyed your version of attending the convention and I got a kick out of your explanation about being the reels Robert Zimmerman. I am the one that likes to tell a good joke too and sometimes I even laugh at my own jokes. May you have a wonderful day and may God bless your weekend.

Thank you for sharing your version with us. I enjoyed reading. This has been such a fun experience reading Gretchen and Rachelle's story and everybody's take on the food fight.

I'm so glad you made it to the convention, but do you think it was that rebellious Jane who tripped you or someone else? Either way, it wasn't very kind. I love the t-shirt "I laugh at my own Jokes." As we age, if we didn't laugh, probably no one would.
And the tux... big money I am sure! Thanks for sharing your experiences and I hope to meet you at the next convention.
Smiles, Carol

    Hi Carol.
I'm pretty sure Jane shoved me to the floor both times. I wasn't very nice to her in the original stories. I'm going to stay away from her in the future.

Robert, I love the t-shirt. I think anyone reading "I laugh at my own jokes" would have to laugh:-)

It doesn't sound like you had much fun at the convention, but I agree that the outfit could be auctioned to pay for part of the trip.

Interesting info on Dylan's real name. I knew he was born in Minnesota where my son lives, but did not recall the name. I will always think of him when I read your work now.

Thanks for sharing your perspective.

    Hey Pam.
Thank you for the kind words and your observations. I have a real Tee shirt with that quote. I wear it every couple of weeks. I get lots of responses.
