Oh, my goodness! Is this the number 12 tribute? Number 14? Whenever I'm sure that I've caught up I find another one! I am (amazingly) out of sixes already, and it is midafternoon on TUESDAY! What a dilemma!
Ms. Marquette is the "queen" of writing poems for all of the FanStory Family -- often birthday poems, but as you note -- sometimes a call to prayer for one in need, an anniversary poem, or a condolence poem or book!
Your story is enchanting. Debi is a blessing to us all and I join you in wishing her all the best--always!

Wasn't it lovely to see all the tributes pouring in to Debi. It made my heart glad, and I know it had to hers as well.
That's okay on the 6's. They don't last long with me, either. Plus, I'm not ranked in short stories

I had so much fun with this story. I could picture myself reading 1001 Birthday Poems. I would like it even more if I wrote it. Haha.

The book of poems was supposed to have been one you wrote, lol. I may not have made that clear.

I like how you begin with Debi writing her poems and then she saw the puppy. I love the imaginary world you created. It is colorful and peaceful, and singers on top of that, plus a "song festival." A very good conclusion. This is very well written. I'd like to see you do more of this style whenever you get a chance.

Yeah, I may head for short stories next year, or at least a different style book.
I agree on the gathering of like minds. It was sort of where I was heading with the story. There being that magical land where our muses flit about waiting for us to find our way to them. I appreciate you recognizing that part of it.
