I enjoyed reading this and I am glad the young cowboy rode the bronc. You told a great story in poetic form.
Four seconds seemed like hours,
When he heard the whistle sound. (I'm guessing the four seconds is here to so emotion? not the eight second count, right???)

This is a delightful poem. I love its narrative and how it flows easily when read. I look forward to reading more of your fun poems, Willie. Having just read your biography, I can see this poem being perfect for primary school-aged students (and older!).
