It sounds like dementia has taken hold in this post as our brain cells die and we revert back to being a helpless child. Old age can be a blessing and a curse, al poignant write, love Dolly x

-Nice artwork and presentation.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-You wrote a good cinquain.
-Effective imagery describing childhood.
-I like the repetition with "beckons" and "back."
-I also like how you make this transition to
older age by using the "enchanting call of childhood."
-Very good concluding lines and a very good poem.
-Good luck in the contest.

Nicely done. I love how you show childhood beckoning with an "enchanting call". For me that captures how we often feel (and forget) as we grow older. The emotion of your poem shines through effortlessly. Keep sharing your wonderful work!

Yes, I've always thought it rather inviting that we so often lose our short-term memory but can vividly remember our childhood experiences. Your cinquain skilfully conveys this in such few words, complemented beautifully with your visual. Well done and good luck! Debbie
