Well, I'm wondering if Oliver was telling the truth about his wife. I'm enjoying how you engage your characters, Jacob. You hold your reader in the moment.
Great chapter.
God bless,
Steve

It is interesting that she thinks Oliver must have lied to her when it could be the accident was not in the area. She is fortunate the have Callum with her as she learns about Oliver's group. It would be more frightening if she didn't have him.

I liked reading this posted chapter, in which Danielle wants Callum to help validate what she is learning, little by little, but just because the car accident doesn't show up doesn't mean it didn't happen. She would have had to know the wife's full name and Oliver's full name, and maybe even then it might not have come up. It sounds realistic to have Callum point out that it might not have been posted on the Internet anywhere, since I have also tried looking for obituaries or reports on someone who died about 24-25 years ago, and it doesn't show up, either. Legal searches often cost a bit of money. These are very young people who wouldn't splurge on that, either, unless another thing comes up to raise Danielle's suspicion. So we'll be waiting for the next instalment!

I have a feeling Oliver lies about a lot of things. I do hope these two remain safe but am very worried about them. I do enjoy reading. You're doing a good job writing this.

Well it all sounds very dodgy to me! What's interesting here is Danielle's display of frustration and temper, suggesting, perhaps, a genetic similarity to her brother (after all, she has a precedent as well when she hit Harvey in prison). But, having said that, I'd be kicking more than the cabinet by now! Thanks for sharing your excellent continuation, Jacob. Debbie

It appears as if the panic attack has sent Danielle reeling and having second thoughts about being there. It was strange that Callum made thedecision to stay though. I'd be out there!!!
Good chapter, Jacob!
Smiles, Carol

I glad to see you posted another one. I can imagine going home early would cause a lot of questions. Danielle doesn't feel too sure she is safe here. She seem to want someone to tell her what to do. I'm enjoying it.
