LOL!! Oh, how I have missed that truly unique Lobber-humor and point of view... This is an awesome offering for the contest, sir -- gotta wonder what percentage of football fanatics have any idea of the origins of that leather ball over which they battle/cheer/spend loads of money!! ;) Think I'm glad they switched to leather at some point.... although it's still some animal sacrifice, yeah? :) :) :) But NERF..? ;-) Thanx for sharing, sir, and so good to read you again! ;) Yvette

This is the most bizarre expression of love, yet so unique. I love the creativity of it! I'm no football fan but I can certainly see the devotion of its fan(atic)s as they play out this almost sacred ritual, which you have described. I love how you've spanned history to describe it.
