So Oliver hypnotizes Danielle. It takes her back to the night her brother murdered her parents. I didn't see that coming. I was all amped up about the upcoming exercise, and this was it. Bravo, Jacob. This chapter was quite captivating, my friend. Now, I want to see what was in the diary.
God bless,
Steve

My pleasure, Jacob. This time of the year is incredibly busy for me at work. I find the time to read and write when I can. I enjoy your story and will eventually catch up, lol.

So it sounds as if Oliver is used to using his voice to hypnotize people. The fact that he shut the window makes the reader think something is still not on the up and up, or else it is slightly scandalous what he has done before at least. Danielle is still pretty young, since an older person might have said they would prefer to postpone any exercises and just go read the mother's diary first. This chapter adds more details to what might have happened in the past, including how the parents helped found the communal living habitation of Marsh View. One can only wonder if Oliver was being careful to keep the parents' most personal or valuable items, or if he has another motive in mind to gain Danielle's trust.

Apparently there was nothing of real interest in her mother's diary, or he would not have given it to her. It seems as if Oliver is trying to hypnotize her when she remembers her brother doing something scary.

Oh wow, that's pretty intense. First, creepy Oliver sort of forces Danielle to follow him to his room where they are to do some exercises of some sort. Sounds like he's trying to hypnotize her, and then she reverts to her worst memory ever.
We also learn that Oliver and Danielle's parents founded the organization...hmmm...
We get to see Danielle's mother wrote a diary, but we'll have to wait to see what's inside.
You are a gifted writer, my friend!
Take care,
Rhonda

Oliver put her in a trance, and he must have taken her back to when the murder happened. I don't think letting him do that was safe. I think I would have all kind of alarm bells going off. Surely, she will get some answers from the diary.

So Danielle went back to the death of her parents. I am wondering why Oliver brought her to that point. Maybe to see what she really remembers, who the other person was. I am really liking this story, but I still feel Danielle and Callum are in danger.

Wow, that was truly unexpected and a very powerful ending! I kept wanting her to get out as she obviously did. But the impressive way you developed this chapter to get her back in the wardrobe among the coats is deserving of a 6* which sadly I don't have. Very well done, Jacob. Take care Debbie

I loved how you captured Danielle's emotions in this scene. I could feel the tension you built between her and Oliver. I could feel her fear. I was drawn into the story. Very curious to know what happens next. Keep up the fantastic work!

Now that was a spine chiller, Jacob! And of course, I want to know if Danielle will remember more. and what was Oliver thinking... I doubt that it was about Harvey. quite the intrigue. Well done.
