Holy lotsa information batgirl! Love the quick pace of this chapter but had to go back and read it twice because...well...you have a way of wanting me to race ahead to see what's going to happen next!
I just have to say (shocker) that any chapter in which Garth appears makes me sit up and smile pretty--
So now Donatelli is buying hotdogs for Jenna?
I bet she 'relishes' that!

Good one, Karenina... that certainly was a musta and relish hotdog then, wasn't it? That sounds like an Italian accent from Boston, Mass.
If you like Garth, like most of the female readers do, the next series is going to blow your socks off....Just saying!

I am doing my best to get caught up after being away from this story for several weeks due to a visitor at my house. I think I am caught up but may read the last few over again because I'm slightly confused and seem to have forgotten a few things lol But excellent work as always, Carol and I hope I'm back for awhile.

oh it's not the story that is confusing. It is my brain lolol Sometimes I get characters mixed up. I don't do as well reviewing long pieces of work but I give it my best shot lol I think I have it back in line now. :-)

I might have a little "gangster" running through my veins...maybe that's why I like the mystery/crime stories. Either that or it was a flash back to my late husband when he was giving me instructions (that we're wrong) but I might as well listen till he gets done and then I can say I told you so. LOL

Refresher...He'd been forcing the young pageant girls to do "favors" because he threatened to have them disqualified. He wanted Lila's research papers and thought he could win her over if not by sex, than gifts. Naomi rummaged through the secret room after his death, found it, put it behind the picture, which Jose knocked down in his anger and found it.
Quick summary.... I believe Donatelli and Jenna might be spotlighted in the next of the series.... at least that's wher my brain is headed at the moment....but it might get derailed. LOL

This is a good chapter at moving the story forward. Donatelli and Garth discover some interesting info in the safety deposit box. Then Donatelli, with much urging from Danni, manages to ask Jenna for a date.

I think we need to mellow Donateli out a little and what better way than to have him interested in Jenna. I believe it might be a main focus in the following series... eve that thought doesn't get derailed. LOL

We are getting closer to the end and solving the crimes...hurrah! I'll get to keep my Detective Badge so I can ride into the sunset and start again...already got another plot swirling in my head. LOL
