This 3-2-1, Inhale, has the proper formatting and finds that moment when the past has been left behind and the new life, which begins with this breath, begins. Nice.

Oh my goodness - thank you!! Okay, you've now put a permanent smile on my face as I get ready to leave for the store this afternoon... guess I'll have to write again soon... lol! This one is really 'from my heart' and my reminder when my emotions try to tank: that along with doing something in the garden as my personal therapy...LOL!! :) Thanx again, Mr. Bill -- it feels good to be back! ;) Yvette

We do need to just let go at times and breathe. Life is so full of stress these days that we can be easily overwhelmed. Anxiety can destroy us. So I myself have taken up tai chi and am learning to inhale...

Thanx so much for your thoughtful review, June -- and congrats on the tai chi! I was thinking of something like that... my yard has been my therapy these past three years!! :-) Yvette

I love this. Sometimes it is just a matter if letting go and I feels Luke a scak of potatoes has been lift from your shoulders and your hearts feels free again. A lovely entry for the 321. Well done and good luck!

I don't think I'm alone in saying I find it hard how to judge a poem with only 6 syllables, even though I've written a few of similar length myself.

The reason I've given this the maximum rating is because I think it is well presented, and has a message that in a sense is immediately obvious, but also open to interpretation by the reader. That's quite something to achieve in 5 words.

What should we be letting go of, to raise our spirits? Anger, emotional baggage, fear, doubt, past disappointments... so many possibilities.

My only point of contention would be the title - "Inhale". Although that's what we must do to take in the fresh, clean atmosphere, it's the act of exhaling that, in my mind, releases the staleness, and is literally "letting go". Then again, "Inhale" definitely sounds better than "Exhale" as a title!

That's not a serious criticism, just a random thought that the title prompted.

Anyway, I think you've done a great job in this limited format, and wish you all the best in the contest.

Wow!! So, you just made my weekend, sir!! Thank you! It's been a while since I really let my heart find my pen (long story, but let's go with 'I am feeling my new self in a different place and different situation')... it honestly feels good!! Still find the tear now and again, but this life is so beautiful I refuse to waste any of it: Forward always!!! :) ;) I do so appreciate that those few words could touch you as they -- in one form or another -- were sortof a motto these past couple of years... and still are.
And I do miss you and your random thoughts -- so thanks for that, too -- bring them on, I say... The world needs more 'random honesty' and less 'form fitting'...lol! I promise to do the same...
You take care out there and thanx so much... again! :-) :-) Yvette

Your poem captures the free feeling one has from just letting go, from life's daily pressures. I feel sorry for those not privileged enough to do so, such as in war areas. Your poem reminds us how lucky we are.

What a wonderful feeling when we let go of our worries, anger, sorrow, etc. Your 3-2-1 poem makes such an impact in just a few words.
The picture is an added bonus. Good luck inn the contest.

Oh, I absolutely LOVE this one! Succinct but oh-so meaningful, and your artwork to complement it could not be more perfect. In my opinion, this has Winner's Circle ALL over it! Good luck to you, Mystery Writer!! Xo
