Hi Crystie,
What a fun read. Your script was very well designed. It truly reads as directions, including stage, for a real play. I like that feel to it.
I like the humor and realistic feel to it.
Your characters are well developed and stick to their roles.
Love the part about the socks, hehe.
The notes at the end are helpful as well.
Hugs,
Rhonda

I always enjoy a good period, western story. Good work, even if a bit 'corny'.
Thanks for the history you've added in Author's Notes.
Best wishes.

Thank you for your kind review. I must admit, I always think, the cornier and cleaner, the better.

Hi Crystie.
This is a very good story as you allowed all of the characters show their character through their words. They all fit the descriptions and were true to their persona. Well written and some very funny lines.

This is such an enjoyable script. I love the feel of the Old West. I thought your characters had distinct personalities. The dialogue adds charm to the reading. Gus Milton, with his exaggerated luck was fantastic! This was funny and so enjoyable to read!

Never a script reader, I guess it's time to loosen up and start reading yours more often. It's nice to be entertained, and to also get all the great information at the end.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your kind review. I must admit I would look for the lighter scripts as well.

Hi Crystie,
I enjoyed your western play. I especially admired Lucky Gus, a hard-working miner who enjoyed solitude and gold nuggets.
I was given a metal detector a few years ago, and I had some fun with it for a while. But I haven't used it in months. I need to give it another go. You never know what you might find. So far, just .22 caliber bullet shells, fishing lures, and railway spikes. I want find some old coins! Or old jewelry.
I liked Gus's tale of sleeping on a rock that contained some silver!
"(Hands bottle back to WILLY.)" ... who is Willy? I don't recall his name in your intro. Did I miss that?
Nicely penned!

Kimbob

Oops. Willy was in the last script. I must have been thinking of him for a second. I will go fix that. Thank you for the awesome six star review! I have never tried metal detecting.

Thank you for the good, clean humor about the prospector who likes to get in deep plus the backdrop of real history! I'm always glad to see how hospitable John is and how tolerant he is of his sidekick with the smelly socks!

Thank you for your super review. I decided to go with stinky sock humor because the skunk humor had been used up in another script, ha ha.

This is a lot of fun. I like the addition of the miner. He seems quite adept at his work. You do a great job of explaining how the setting could be handled, as well as the mule. Good sounds effects given! I love the humor in this, especially all the puns. I can see there is room for a lot of visual humor, too. Poor Short and his socks. The idea of him buying three is funny. Very skllfully done. judi

This is a very well written script. I enjoyed very much listening to it. I admire people who can write scripts nicely like you do yours. Script writing would be something that would not be in my comfort zone at all, but I enjoy others who write lovely scripts may you have a blessed day. Patricia
