Wow. This is very pretty. The image is absolutely stunning. You thank us for reading your poem, when, in reality, it is us who should thank you for the beauty of the poem. So many of you have serious talent. Thank you for the tears of joy. They are few and far between these days.

This is better than what kiwisteveh said to me. I guess he hates American politics or something. Thank you.

What a truly delightful poem. It's flow of words and the accompanying rhyme deliver poetry in its purest form. For me, it delivered pictures along with an enchanting melody. I hope your recovery is speedy and I look forward to reading more of your work.

Thank you so much Bob for all of these shiny stars and for a wonderful review. I'm sorry it's taken me a while to respond to this, but my recovery is going very well. I am leaving this site for a while, but it has nothing to do with my health. I'm just burned out and need a little time off

Such a very good poem to take a break with. I have had four surgeries on my back alone, so you have my sympathy and good wishes, and prayers. I think that all we do and are is energy. And if 20 people send their wishes and prayers to you every day they build and add up to good energy for you. Since I have been on fan story my pain level is down. So you have my good thoughts
and kind wishes zooming their way to you. Great poem. Karen

I wish you nothing but the best in your recovery. I suffered a herniated disk and a bulged disk, one on top of the other, last Fall, and I'm still trying to get to a pain-free place. I'm certainly better.
I love the lovely rhymes here, and the image of "the sunset frames the ocean's door".
I'm not sure who this mysterious man is on the bench, or why he is obsessed with the moon, but I like that "she" is aware of him and will remain with him in his dreams.
My only critique is with the image you have used. Since the main focus of your poem is the moon, I would give us the image of the one you have written about.
I truly hope that you feel better soon.

Oh, sorry to hear about your back surgery. I hope you recover well. I really enjoyed reading this poem. The rhyming scheme was immaculate and the photo that went with it was very beautiful. Keep up the good work!

Hello Pam,
This is an excellent poem with wonderful imagery,
smooth meter and solid. The personification also
adds to the atmosphere of the moonlit night.
Nice choice of the sunset photograph which leads
to the coming of the moon.
Well done
Best wishes.

This is splendid Pam. You've outdone yourself here. Flawless rhyme and meter along with a well moving flow makes this a spectacular read. So sorry to hear you're in rehab. I'm in a nursing home for good I'm afraid. I wish you a speedy and thorough recovery.

hi Katiemae
I may be headed to a nursing home myself, but it won't be for a few years. It's nice to know that you can keep your cell phone in one of those and keep writing and reading.
Thank you so much for those stars and for a lovely review

Pam, my friend. I know you are in pain but I am amazed to see that you, in spite of your pain, posted a poem. I admire your dedication to writing poems.
I had to read this poem twice (getting old) to figure out the blending of the moon and the sailor as "she" and 'he". Cleverly done.
As usual, this is a beautifully written poem with a stunning visual. You must get better soon. We need to read more.

I'm sorry for the delay in my response to this. I had a whole bunch of reviews backed up, and I also have to make doctor appointments and physical therapy and occupational therapy and other things that come up in life that have priority over responding to reviews.
I appreciate you giving me the six star rating and your wonderful review
