Abraham said it all when he said their parents made a mistake by leaving. Now I feel pretty confident this is why they were killed. Abraham is intimidating. Surely Danielle sees this.
Another great chapter, my friend.
God bless,
Steve

This Abraham guy is pretty intense. It sounds like he was almost threatening. Still not a lot of details for Danielle, but she's getting a general idea of the tone around the compound.

Great job,
Rhonda

The mistake Danielle's parents made was leaving the compound. I'm convinced they were murdered because of it. I can't wait to read more.

You have another chapter full of dialogue that sounds realistic. We still aren't sure what's going on behind everyone's locked bedroom doors. It's a little eerie. Abraham sounds like he might be one of the movers and shakers. I wonder if Callum ate or drank something that made him sleep more soundly than usual, since I agree it is hard to sleep on someone else's sofa.
Little fix:
I hope you don't make the same mistake your parent's did.
You don't need an apostrophe, just plural of parent is parents.

Abraham has maybe given her a clue when he says her parents made the mistake of leaving. Why can't people change their minds about living there? Yet her brother seems to imply that life isn't good if she doesn't live there. Very interesting.

She found a lot of answers. I'm wondering if she will tell her parents where she has been and if she will deside to return. For some reason I had the idea she had just turned 18 when she visited her brother but Oliver mentioned her being about 26 I think. I don't know why she would think she might want to come there to live sense she thinks people are weird and creepy. I look forward to more.

Another character then with a religious name, suggesting this is, indeed, some kind of religious retreat. I was sure Danielle would be staying on and curiosity would get the better of her. Now another character and another mystery. You're keeping us guessing, Jacob!

I'm enjoying this intriguing read. Thanks for the share. Debbie

You continue to do an excellent job of making the reader wonder what's going on and what are they hiding. Everyone is definitely creepy. I am screaming "Get out of there." I wonder if they will make it?
Smiles, Carol
