It's always hard to part with a loved pet but the right thing was done for this one. Sometimes it is loving to return an animal or bird to its natural environment. Well done. Good wishes for the contest.

This is a really great flash fiction story you have penned about the boy and his duck. You used great descriptive words and very beautiful imagery. You almost had me in tears as I was reading about Donald going back to his duck friends and the little boy sad. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

I really enjoyed reading your little flash fiction. I am glad that Donald was happy in the end. Billy maybe not so much.
I wish you lots of luck in the competition. Jen.

Awwwwwwwwww! What a charming, adorable story, and flawless. I was grateful that it ended with a wild thing being returned to the wild, and not as I thought it might end. Well done! Good luck in the contest.

A very sweet and wholesome poem. Strong family friendly elements and characters that will certainly appeal to your target audience. Very good idea and execution. This will be a hard one to beat in the voting.

I enjoyed your very touching story. The child cared enough for the Duck to realize he would be better off with other ducks since no one would be available to care for him. The grandfather's wisdom guided the young boy to do the right thing, even though letting the Duck go was painful.

Ah-h-h a beautiful tale to tug at the heartstrings as a little boy learns about Nature and his own little human heart - so well told and a great pic to illustrate
