I really enjoyed reading your poem. Both my daughters have bright blue eyes which stand out a lot as they have dark features. You have written a beautiful rhyming poem about the color blue and described it in so many contexts. It's clever and fun - particularly the last line. Best of luck in the contest.
Best wishes,
Amelie

Your poem thoughtfully explores the multifaceted nature of the color blue, linking it to various aspects of life, emotions, and memories. The way you weave personal and cultural references together creates a rich tapestry of associations with the color. The transition from positive to more reflective tones effectively captures the complexities of aging and self-perception. The closing lines provide a humorous yet poignant conclusion, highlighting resilience despite the passage of time. Overall, the poem is engaging and reflective, with a nice balance of vivid imagery and personal insight.
