Hi Marival,
This is a strong use of eight words to describe metaphorically and with personification what happens when it rains. I like the colorful word.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Have a great weekend.

I went to college in Nebraska, and oh! how this photo evokes memories of that landscape! There were lots and lots of times when the sky looked like that, too, and people were happy because it had been so dry for so long. Very well done poem, Gypsy. Good luck in the contest! xo

You did a great job with this poem, Gypsy. I mentioned in a review to one whose comments mentioned your inadvertent help that you're the best to teach haiku. I should have said you're the best in Japanese poetry of any kind!

This poem painted such a picture. I saw a field, dry and drought stricken, then a start of a breeze. The signal of rain. They fat wet drops being absorbed by the ground. Plants dancing under the pattering of drops. Beautiful written. Gretchen

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Yes, dry feeds would be so happy to get any rain at all. I know in Texas we get joyful when it rains. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.
You should get your book on 8/21/24.

The waves of grain appreciate the weeping clouds. I love play on words, and this one captured the sensitive side of a storm. Great job, Gypsy.
God bless,
Steve

-Nice images and presentation, Gypsy.
-You have used your eight words well with a good topic.
-A very good opening line personifying the sky.
-The dry fields are grateful for the sky opening
up to provide much needed rain.
-A very good concluding line with
effective use of alliteration.
-Good luck in the contest.

This eight-word poem, Sky Weeps, has the proper formatting and allows that the dried-out grains may still be saved when the clouds finally get misty.

This is very well written and it has a very nice flow to it. Your presentation is beautiful. I wish the sky would weep over our land here in Phoenix, Arizona, Arizona as we are extremely dry and are needing to have some weeping sky. Patricia.
