A perfect chapter with hints of romance. I wonder if the Amish tend to sit under the apple tree, too?
I remember The Munsters very well. It was the CBS answer to The Adams Family on ABC. (I used to be a legal secretary at CBS back in the 1960s. I remember typing contracts for Gilligan's Island and Captain Kangaroo.)
Love this story you are writing so wonderfully. I especially like that the gals are headed for a FanStory convention! Have you actually been to one? I am adding it to my bucket list. Who knows, maybe some day.... :0) Write on, Rachelle!!!

Thanks for this delightful review, Sweet Lily. You do wonderful things for my confidence.
I don't think there even IS such a thing as an International Fs conference. Gretchen and I thought we made that up. A lot of members, though, have expressed wanting one!

This is a very cute and well written story. I love the idea that you and Gretchen are both writing your own version. This is so much fun to read. Great descriptive words and very nice imagery. Thanks for sharing. Teri

What a fun read!! So well done and allows the reader to inhabit each of the women as they play their parts. I love it. I must check out the GW Hargis version. ann

Yes, do! She's a terrific writer with a very different slant to the same situation.

Enjoyed the nostalgia of the old TV show the "Munsters" and Hannah's recap of Rachelle's first day with them was just as hilarious as when first told. I like how the teens in Amish-land are just as normal and full of hormones elsewhere.
Good idea to call Rachelle's cousin!

Yes, it's true "teen" trumps "Amish."
Thank you for this very nice review, Helen. xoxo

lots of fun even in the face of the just -passed terror. More folks on the way, perhaps, to rescue the ladies. The comparison of the Munsters cast to this situation left-fieldishly random, and therefore makes great sense to me.

Hello Rachelle,
I remember the Munsters TV program very well. I think the were in competition with The Adams Family. You described them very well, you must have been a big fan.
I have a feeling that Hannah would be hard pressed to keep a secret if she needed to. I loved how she spilled the beans about the leopard dress and the corn cobs. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.

Another fine read, and the problem of the car is not going to be quickly solved, by the sounds. Love the humorous parts describing Gretchen's looks, and the comments of the Amish about YOU. All very humorous, nd good fun to imagine.Edit: "those were a bit before her time".Probaby "after her time" as the car would have been too old for a USB port.

The Munsters you describe here look a bit scary, and life with Amish has been a challenge for both of you, but I think you are both starting to slowly fit in as you embrace this life. You and Gretchen tell a tale with humour and the two of you have invented an amazing story to entertain us, another magical post Rachelle. I wonder if you will ever escape this exclusive alternative world, love Dolly x x x

Delightful as usual. I never watched The Munsters so don't have much knowledge of the show. Glad the horses were found. Berry picking isn't something that I didn't think the narrator would enjoy. But she definitely seems to. Love Hannah's version of what happened when the horses took off. Now is the time to come up with a plan for getting to the convention. Gretchen's car is not going to make it, apparently. My Lincoln is a 2005. It just does car things. I'm hoping they'll finally get to the convention, but it's been fun enjoying the detour. Great work. judi

The country girl in me definitely enjoyed the days of picking berries when I was young.
I'm glad you're along for this ride, Judi; I always love your reviews. xoxo

I finally got that delectable Amish breakfast I was waiting for. As a side note, my favorite Amish retaurant/store/bakery was in Sarasota, Florida and was called Yoders. The buffet was $15 and it was all you can eat clear through the dessert section! The bakery was like nothing you've ever seen. The Amish village in Florida didn't ride horse and buggies in the city...instead they ride three-wheel bicycles with large baskets in Florida. Thanks for another interesting chapter.

Oh, that's interesting to know! What fun! Kind of theme-and-variation on a buggy, I guess...except the people are the horses.
