What a cute poem! I love that there's some rhyme. And a mislead. Without the title, you'd assume the poet is speaking about a lover. A human one, that is. BUT, yes.... it all makes sense at the end. (she says as she clutches her own coffee cup)

This ode, My Treasured Cup, had me all the way through until, in the very end, I see the focus of love is on the coffee cup. I knew this starting out, but your poem pulled me off the scent. Fun poem.
