Beautifully illuminated and presented Tanka poem. We all have that desire to follow and yet also to lead. It think a balance of both desires make for a very strong resolve. Thank you for sharing this beau poem, your presentations are a,wats very captivating.

Yearning and wanderlust together! What a combination! Those two will take our imaginations to the far reaches of the Earth. I like that. Thank you for sharing this wonderful presentation with us.

A lovely, romantic tanka, stirring the senses with a longing to escape and find love. This is beautifully presented and, as ever, a joy to see and read. Well done, Gypsy. Debbie

I feel like the "wind and rudder" are parallel to the "wanderlust" and the "heart full of yearning." The yearning heart drives the sailor and the wanderlust keeps blowing his/her boat on. Nicely done!

Hi, Gypsy
Why did you say ' A dark one for a change'?
This isn't dark at all it's uplifting. It's like you're exploring the sea the sun and the earth. How can that be bad?
I interpret this to be about a man who wants to explore and that's why he's out there in the kayak. Things are pleasant. He's getting his wanderlust out of the way
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Oh, thank you for letting me know. I had written a different poem about good and evil. I didn't like how it turned out so I wrote another one. I missed the dedication line.
Thank you very much, Pam

This is a majestic presentation! Colorful! The sailboats reflection mirrors like a mirror haiku. Breathtaking words as well. I appreciate the author notes. Oh, we only get 4 - 6 stars, now? Dang! I ran out! I will give you a virtual six star since I ran out so soon! Been years since I been here! I'm awestruck and in envy of this tanka.

I LOVE THIS POEM!!!! This might even be my favorite one of the entire week, and, as you know, I've loved many. The "net full of wanderlust" just melted me! What a great line!
And, of course, exceptionally beautifully artwork for it.
