What a beautiful poem of love. This probably happens more than we will ever know, where gawking people have to destroy other's love. Also, I'm sure age differences can have their own problems too. I love your word choice! Great job!

Oh yes, they say there is someone, somewhere, with the same desire we have of meeting us, whoever we are, but yes'm I remember when I was young, all my close friends were married at 22, I went on with ny journey, but I did marry miss right in the end, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Oh, this makes me sad. It's too bad that the "censorious eyes" have made it too difficult for the two soulmates to fulfill their mutual love for one another. A generation apart is probably hard to overcome in terms of practical stages in life. I do admire the sense of peace in the narrator's voice in accepting the gift of having a soulmate out there.

This is a lovely poem that reminds us of several things. It reminds us that the flame may be some dude but the spark is still in there. It reminds us that hope springs eternal. It reminds us that opposites attract it reminds us, some differences do matter it reminds us there will be another place another time. Thank you so much for reminding us.
