A month on the road and another week or so from getting to go home, I've picked a terrible time to have to be rushing to read your story. Maybe down the road I'll find time to go back and read it again. It's always a pleasure. Thanks for sharing.

When I finally figure out how to publish...maybe. I'm really excited about this one. Thanks for always being there for me. Stay safe on the road.

Hi Carol,
I'm woefully behind on just about everything. I've had family over since this weekend. I've read several of your chapters, but someone always pops up before I write the review.
I really had fun with this chapter and I can tell you did as well. The ghosts really did. We learn a little more about Benny in this chapter and his motivations.
Great job,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Summer months do that. Just when we think we have time to spare, we find out we don't. I thank you for all the effort you put in and couldn't expect anything more. Yes, this chapter and the next we're fun and I enjoyed.
I meant to have this wrapped up so I could join the book in the month club but the story just doesn't want to end. LOL
Smiles and a great big thank you for the awesome review and stars.

I can?t do the book in a month thing at this point. I?ve done it before, but when I had less going on in my life. Hats off to those who give it a go!

Tony and Terrence are wise to try to get away from Marco and Louie, after what happened to Johnny. As things heat up, Marco and Louie will probably get caught behind the fire wall. This story has turned into an action thriller...man against ghost.

Terence and Tony see what Louie and his henchman have done to their deceitful, greedy Compadre, and have no mercy, I don't think he would live through that, they contemplate picking up the spilt gems but decide not to, Watched by reformed baddie Benny, well. Done, blessings Roy

Yes, I had to save Terrence and Tony, but Benny had to give them a scare first to put them on the right track. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks as always.

Hi Carol, I really like this story and about all the shenanigans of the ghosts. The whole concept is intriguing to me. I have actually come across a ghost, so the whole concept is very believable. Ulla xcx

Wow...you met a ghost. I should have gotten back up from you. The only spirit I have ever seen was my daughter when she returned when my mother was dying. I even took a picture of her. She came to take her grandmother home, I guess. Just my thoughts ...maybe because it makes it easier and I feel good about it. I miss my mother very much and thinking that she's with my daughter helps.
Thanks so much for the review and the glittering stars. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the story.

Oh, Carol, I never knew, you lost your daughter. I know you've had a lot of family problems but never that. I am so very sorry, Ulla xxx
-
I lost my son, my daughter and my grandson. It's part of life but you never expect your children to go before you. Thank you for your thoughts. Love, Carol
-
Oh my word. You lost all of them? I am in tears. I never knew that. By now, I'm crying. What a strong person you must be. I hope I don't come across being insensitive. Much love, and hugs. Ulla xxx
-
Of ourse not. I wouldn't wish my losses on anyone. I cared for my mom and dad for fifteen years and my husband for ten..they were terminal and I fought to keep them with me as long as I could. I lost all three of them in a matter of 18 months. I forgot who I was...but now writing again has given me a reason to get up every morning. Hope I didn't step over the line in my sharing. Hugs, Carol

Of course you didn't. Carol. I'm a mother and grandmother of three. I'm so glad you've found solace in your writing. I can so understand that. A big hug back to you. Ulla xx

The ghosts discuss their chances of going to heaven and what they have learned as ghosts, a rather interesting concept. Louie and Marcos are really bad guys and fortunately frighten Tony and Terrence. Even Benny didn't think they were really bad guys. It sounds like the bad guys will get away with a lot of loot, certainly a treasure in its own right.

One can understand their fear and desire to escape from Louie's madness, but have they got themselves caught up in another life threatening situation? Now there's a couple more who need redemption! Well written, and very dramatic chapter.

I think Terrence and Tony are two young neighborhood boys who got caught up in the glory of being a bad guy and now are in over their heads...figurative speaking since they are in the raging river. LOL Thanks for enjoying the story.

That Benny continues to grow on me. Redemption can come, even when we least expect it ~ but he's having his share of fun with his ghostly antics.
The contrast between the sinister sins of the living (goons) and the ghosts seeking redemption adds an interesting morality tale.
Maybe some don't see their patterns of behavior until they confront mortality!
There's never honor among thieves -- everyone wants a bigger slice of the pie!
(It doesn't always work out too well)
So, it's to the river without a boat!
No worries...Carol will have another great plot twist!

Hello, my dear... This story was suppose to be wrapped up, but as you can see I don't know how to say the end! Now I've got this young boys swimming the raging river while it's storming and there's probably gangster's after them. Still got to get the stuff loaded and out of there so they can fall into the trap. And then there's the problem of finding the real treasure. At this rate, there won't be another story starting for the contest.... But I do like this story! LOL
Thanks for stopping by to see what was happening in the mansion. I always appreciate your thoughts.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

I'm smiling. You'll get NO complaint from me if you move into the one hundreds in chapters, on this one!
(I mean, I'm still a HUGE Garth fan...but this one has grown in every way and you're blossoming with it!)

Thank you so much, sweetie! I love it too! That's why each day I dream up something more to happen. I can't let it go! Love ya, Carol

You sure know how to add action and excitement to each chapter. This chapter is exceptionally well written. Keep up the good work, Carol. I still say this is your best writing.

Thanks so much, April. I too am enjoying this story as you can see I can't seem to find the ending. LOL I was going to start writing for the contest, but I have to wrap this one up first and it just doesn't want to be rushed. Thanks as always.
Smiles, Carol

Your chapters are so exciting! Another good one! The dialogue feels natural and helps to build the personalities of the characters. The contrast between the ghosts' playful antics and the gangsters' grim situation adds a layer of intrigue. The descriptions of the storm and the tense interactions among the characters kept me engaged and eager to see what happens next. Great job!
