In my mind, I don't take the love here, as a person, but rather love as, the quality and emotion, that has been tossed about and taken for granted. Many times, we experience the feeling that our given love has to change in order to survive the storms that are upon it.
Nice presentation,
RJ

Your poem makes me think of Jesus walking on the waters and we don't have to worry about the turbulent storms in our lives because He is with us "caressing our souls." Beautiful!

Yes, it's about Jesus. I'm happy you like it. He is always there for us during good and bad times.
Thank you very much, big sister.

like the touch of rhyme in the fourth line and how it caresses the soul
this kinda reminds me of the footprints story...
it's calming and peaceful with a cool pic
nice shades of blue, too
thank you for sharing

I don't know why, but this had an exotic flavor to me. I could see an Indian watching her brave ride off. Or a Hispanic woman saying goodbye to a soldier. The wind in their hair as the love of their life rides away. Gretchen

"...tousle my hair here and there..." I love the way that falls upon my heart, and settles in. The winds of change often blow cold. Sometimes they are exactly what we need ~ although it doesn't feel that way at the moment!
Brilliant poem and presentation -- as always!
