Having the ghosts appear in the sheriff's office is a great way to get Tyler to get involved. Her editor pretty quickly stepped back also thanks to the appearance of ghosts. You have a really big gang assembled to stop the mob. Good job writing the plot so that Sandra gets what she wants.

Les turned tail and headed out of there. You can tell he sits in an office and everyone else checks out the crimes. He wanted the glory but not the trouble or the ghosts. Thanks so much, Carol.

This is a great chapter with lots of movement and reveals. Les moves in and tries to take over Sandra's case. Once ghosts appear, he scurries away, possibly out of fear, or possibly to leave Sandra hanging in case everything is a hoax. The biggest fun is yet to come.

This is a great continuation, Carol. I can so understand the confusion and disbelief. Patrick had a great time and relished in it all. So would I have done. I love this story. Ulla xcx

Yes, Patrick got the job done but he had a good time while he did it. Can't fault him for wanting to take a bite of the apple one last time.

Smiling here... Patrick was singing and having himself a good old time!
(Can we blame him? It's been a long time stuck in that mansion!)
I'm tickled every time the Judge appears... Les needs to start up a "Ghostbuster's Gazette" -- (Or should that be "Mafia Busters?")
Sandra is yet again holding up beautifully ~ as your women characters always seem to do!
Maybe an edit here: "Les's over-confidant balloon" -- did you mean "confident/"
Onward~
(And I'm not behind anymore!
GREAT chapter.

fixed that spelling...and not thanks to Grammarly! lol I'm so happy that you are enjoying my humor with the ghosts and gangsters. It makes the story funny as it winds down. Thank you so much.
Love ya, Carol

That touch of humor is a great juxtaposition to the very real struggle for redemption...

Poor Sandra. Even with ghosts appearing and substantiating her statements, she still has trouble convincing people, especially that sheriff. Hope they agree to help!

No one wants to believe in ghosts....but then neither did Sandra in the beginning. Guess they have to grow on you! LOL Thanks for the review, Helen,

As usual I am hanging on the edge waiting for the next installment. Carol you do a great job at creating the suspense. I did not see anything that needed fixing but have to admit I read it in a hurry. I am heading off on a 10 day Harley camping trip so won't be around for a bit. Enjoy! Esther

You are approaching an excellent conclusion for your story. I am eagerly anticipating how you handle the rest of the novel. I will be waiting for the next chapter of this exciting story.

The ending has a little bit more of humor I guess. I wasn't ready to speed right into the ending without letting the ghosts have a little fun and the gangsters falling on their faces.LOl

I can certainly understand why they are bewildered! These are certainly not normal human interest stories, nor normal crime. Looking forward to the coming confrontation. Well written.

I loved this episode, by necessity the ghosts in the mansion appear to quite a few including Jack, Michael, and more importantly to the people who matter, if this wasn't so hilarious, sometimes I wish God would appear to people, but I know their unbelief would refuse Him. Beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy
