This story proves truth can be stranger than fiction. What are the chances a man settles down for a quiet evening in a hotel room, and a nude woman wearing only a towel walks out of the bathroom? I'm glad your stay, dinner and drinks were free. Entertaining story.

I imagine that must have been quite a shock for you, not to mention for her. I wonder if they comped her room too?
One of those things that make a good story to laugh about later, even if it was rather shocking and humiliating (at least for her) when it happened.

Oh wow, now that's a surprise, I guess for you both. I'll bet she's remembered the incident as well. If it weren't so horrifying, I'm sure you would have found it funny. At least she had a towel, right?

This story, Double Booking, explodes in the middle and finds you taking stage left exit. Nice to have the stay comped, along with food and free liquor. Gimme a room, dinner, a couple drinks, and a babe in a towel.

Goodness! I hope hers were, too. This is the kind of situation sometimes found in older romance novels but I quite see this one wasn't so romantic. I bet you never settled down in a motel again without first checking the bathroom.

My travel route from 1982-1984 was Monday in Detroit, Tuesday in Chicago, Wednesday in Denver, and Thursday in Seattle.
