Thank you, Rach. I actually created the picture myself from numerous Google Image pictures. Who doesn't love a pic of a child in fire? Lol. Yep, it's a sad state the world's in anymore.

I must've missed this wonderful stab at Halloween. I hate it more with each passing year. My mother removed a razor blade from a Snickers bar one year and it hasn't been the same ever since. The devil's behind it all.
Sending you my best today as always, and my late congratulations.

Wow, a razor blade in a candy bar. Wow. Yes, I agree, it would never be the same after that. Thank you for the great review and generous stars, Sal. I'm glad you liked the piece.

This cinquain, Halloween, Number One Holiday, has the proper formatting and bemoans the supposed situation that the season based on evil touches more people than one based on God.

Hi. This looks like a good entry to the contest. Good luck with that.!
I know you are talking about Halloween. But, there is nothing in the poem that references Halloween. Maybe the committee will accept it. I hope so
I enjoyed your poem with the surprise at the end
Below. You know that this is wrong. But you could say
but now the child is taught.
"but now the children's taught"
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the great review, Pam. Seeing as how I titled it "Halloween, Number One Holiday" I would hope that the committee recognizes it as a Halloween piece. I didn't really want just one child as the subject of this so that's why I went with but now the children's taught. I really couldn't figure out how to shorten it. Lol. I really appreciate the generous stars and good luck wishes, Pam. Thank you again.
