I love the repeating line in this stanza, it really ties the poem together very cohesively. It is indeed a great adventure, this life, and l'm glad l'm a part of it.

I liked your poem about the bumps and bruises, then getting up and starting again. Life would be boring if there were no obstacles. I think we sometimes have to earn happiness and when we find Jesus, happiness in His healing hands. K xx

Thank you for an excellent review. I'm glad we know of Jesus' helping hands and how we come out stronger from obstacles with His help.

That's a whole lot of bumping and bruising - but we survive them all with God's helping hand. Each chapter of our story will vary in the way we bump and bruise ourselves - but afterwards we breathe a sigh of relief and call it an adventure to treasure.

Thank you for a great review. I am so thankful for God's helping hand. I've been reading in Ezra, how God's good hand was upon him, and I've been so glad it has been upon me.

Yes, there is a lot of bumping and bruising and getting up again in life; but it is in the perseverance, the struggle to rise above the falls, that the adventure of life unfolds. My sister often echoes this sentiment, that life is a great adventure. Often when you look back in life, I think, it is the times of adversity that seem the most memorable. It's the bounce back from the hurricane damage, the accident, the disease, that we find the most admirable of all our accomplishments. estory

Beautiful poem with an encouraging word of truth: when we fall, which is certain, we must get up. I so enjoyed your spiritual poem and message inside. Getting up now.
Love and Blessings across the miles.

I loved your refrain, "Now that is a great adventure!" At our prayer meeting tonight, we asked each other how in the world does a parent face raising children without having "the God of all the universe" helping and guiding?
Great thought and well crafted free verse stitched together with repetition.

Thank you, Helen. I agree with your prayer meeting group. I'm so thankful we had the Lord with us then, and we still can call on Him for their adventures!T

I like this beautiful poem as you work through all life's ages and stages - and at each point you recognise God's hand at work. We were never promised ease, nor happiness - but we were promised His presence, love, care and guidance.

This is an enjoyable read as in the different stages of life not the falling down bit;) If I had a euro for every time one of my work colleagues tells me to look up from my phone while I'm walking. Maybe I was meant to read this.
All the best!

Oh what a charming and profound verse, Verna! I really enjoyed the repetition with the different scenarios and I don't know if I should have smiled (especially as I regularly fall over these days!) but I found your 'sometimes' getting up again, as a variation on the theme, very amusing! As ever, Verna, I love the positivity that characterises your posts. Well done! Debbie
