Most of poetry rhymes. I have heard others say that thyming peotry is the east way out. Free verse is the easist there is.
Rhyming can be devilishly hard. people who say it is easy or the ones that can't do it. They are lack-witted dolts if you ask me.

I am average, compared to others who draw crowds and write to get published. I thank you kindly for the six stars and encouraging review. You know I love to rhyme. This poem is a personal favorite of mine.

Sorry I've been away from the site for so long. I've been working diligently on my current projects - one is a Memoir, and one is a novel - but I think I will 'test drive' chapters of the projects here - but I need to do a lot of reviewing to get the $$$ to post them and expect any reviews.
I love this simple little rhyme. But I'm not entirely sure you are just an average poet - your poetry reads well, and reflects the thoughts put in,

This is the journey of continuous improvement in every venture, the journey of a poet. The poem resonates with me. Looking back to where I was at the time I joined this group, I see some comparable improvement, though still far from my target destination. What a wonderful driving poem. I resemble this poem. I also resonate with it. I definitely thought I was better when I got to this platform 10 years ago then I believe I am today. I do know, like you, I have improved. But if you look through my portfolio, you won't see a lot of first place anything and you won't see me as a professional writer. I loved your poem.
