Good luck in your contest. I felt Armageddon there. I've never been a numbers guy so that was a little hard to follow, but extremely interesting. I liked this story.

"From the depths they come, Writhing and creeping in shadows, Tainting all they touch."
This paints a very creepy scene! Strong entry start to finish.

Hi there,
Many thanks for entering this competition.
I found all the deliberations over Kaprekar's constant and the sealing to be very dry and didn't match the tone in the rest of the piece and it takes up just under half of the wirting.
I would have liked to have more of the main body rather than exposition which as is makes it feel a bit rushed and underdeveloped in terms of present story, if you see what I mean.
It's a clever idea and I think to develop it further would pay dividends.
All the best

Thanks for the review!! I 100% agree with you - I had plans to flesh out the story much more but I got called in to work on all my free days and just ended up mashing my rough ideas/draft together :(
I am planning on coming back to the story once I have time, so hopefully it can live up to its potential eventually!
Have a great week!
